United Agrivoltaics Heartland Alliance
It’s here! Join us in the 2025 “Name the Rainbow” Challenge as part of our “Solar Futures” campaign! We will introduce 7 lambs to be named, matched with or bred by 7 farmers who are early stage or aspiring solar graziers who need your help to thrive! They’ve been nominated by industry advocates and long-established solar grazing and agrivoltaics service professionals and companies to benefit from this fundraiser, which is designed to offer a path to provide direct support to farmers who need it, while also raising funds to allow us to launch our agrivoltaic incubator program!
Four Rounds in this Challenge:
Round 1 (February 24 to March 8) we'll take name nominations through both nonprofit contributions and rapid impact private gifts.
Round 2 (March 9 to 16) contribute to vote the top 7 names down into a Top 3!
Round 3 (March 17 to 23) final naming round and names announced!
Bonus round (March 24 to 31) all of the lambs go head to head with the farmer of the top points earning lamb earning a grand prize to help them scale their grazing business!
The top 7 names with the most points per lamb will move on to Round 2! Want your favorite name to win and see that lamb with its new name? Nominate that name by making contributions direct to the farmers using their individual QR codes, or earn double points by contributing on our organization’s fundraising page! Put the name of choice in the memo/notes or “In Honor of” spot and we’ll attribute your points to the name(s), with a tally for each lamb maintained here on our website!
Every $5 earns 1 point towards your name of choice
Every $25 earns 10 points towards your name of choice
Every $50 earns 50 points towards your name of choice!
Every $100 earns 100 points towards your name of choice!

Donate today to support our work
UA-Heartland is a nonprofit organization designed by industry leaders and practitioners with the experience, relationships and networks that ensure its key audiences: farmer/producers, solar developer/operators, and market/supply-chain practitioners, are provided the education and resources necessary to capitalize on the tremendous economic, social, and environmental benefits of Agrivoltaics. Recognizing the enormous growth projected in the Heartland region and potential impact on the regional foodshed, this organization was formed to provide support to advance agrivoltaics.
Our programs are curated for multiple audiences to offer practical help, solutions, and innovative tools for use in development of agrivoltaic enterprises and connected businesses. Our priorities include outcomes within agrivoltaic integration, food security, environment and conservation, and the future of farming. Our programs are built to help both solar developers and farmers access and maximize the many benefits of agrivoltaics, and develop markets for their agrivoltaic products, while recognizing and addressing the capacity building needs of historically underserved and under-resourced farmers.
We are able to accept tax-deductible donations through our fiscal sponsor, Fiscal Sponsorship Allies, a national 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to make the world a better place by removing barriers to doing good in the community. We are very grateful for their support to facilitate these donations to expedite the launch our programs, while we are in process of obtaining our own 501(c3) status!
